“The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web. ” ― Pablo Picasso
Where does the urge to create begin?
Does it start with an idea?
From where do ideas come?
And where do ideas take you?
Once you have an idea, is it the beginning, the middle or the end of a process which leads to a new beginning?
Is this blog, The Iconophile, a beginning, a middle or an end?
It looks like a beginning as it only has a few posts, is still in its nascent stage, and what we are doing with it at the moment is tentative – we’re on the water’s edge feeling the element out with our toes.
The idea which gave birth to this blog emerged while we were working on our business website – SDDP.
Therefore this beginning came in the middle of the end of something else. An end which really is a beginning of a middle.
We thought it would be a great addition to have a place where we could share a little bit more about ourselves, show a more personal side, the things which inspire us, a glimpse into the behind the scenes of how we work, think, and perceive.
That’s just the first flush of the idea, where it goes from here has yet to be experienced, is a process of discovery for us.
An adventure is beginning.
“I begin with an idea and then it becomes something else. ” ― Pablo Picasso
