“So that’s how we live our lives…
I closed my eyes and tried to
bring to mind as many beautiful lost things as I could. Drawing them
closer, holding on to them. Knowing all the while that their lives
are fleeting.”
― Haruki Murakami

One moment it is looking at you, and in the next moment…
.
.
.
.
it is gone, all you see is it retreating. Where are you now?
.
That’s life.
One moment you’re on top of the world and the next, the world keeps spinning, weaving what it weaves as it spins.
If you stay still it can feel as though everything and everyone else moves beneath you.
toppling you from where you were,
leaves you behind as you try to recover from falling,
from that place you once were.
.
But no one is ever still even when we think we are.
.
Life is fleeting,
and yet…
it is a constant,
a constant fleeting from moment to moment,
an adventure made of many adventures,
which look very still at times…
.
.
.
.
As though they will last for ever,
forever,
but then…
.
.
.
.
off they go,
those moments,
and so do we,
moving on…
.
.
“Life is short, art long, opportunity fleeting, experience treacherous, judgment difficult.”
― Hippocrates

Stunning photography, down to the jewels of light in the foreground before the deer springs away.

Thank you very much! I was pleasantly surprised that I managed to get the shots of the deer which I did, the lighting was a strong late afternoon sun and the whole scene was idyllic.

Thank you very much! They are so at one with their environment that they’re often hard to spot. I have to admit I often see things which aren’t there, and don’t see things which at there.
