The Magnifying Glass

“It has long been an axiom of mine that the little things are infinitely the most important.”
― Arthur Conan Doyle

The magnifying glass,

Sherlock Holmes’ favourite weapon,

used to spot details,

which might otherwise go unseen,

and helped him concoct his marvelous deductions,

but I wonder,

did he ever look at the object itself,

or just through it,

as though it wasn’t even there.

He probably did notice the object,

and appreciated its nuances,

as nothing eluded him.

“The world is full of obvious things which nobody by any chance ever observes.”
― Arthur Conan Doyle
