Pate a Shoe Pastry

“It all began with a shoe on the wall. A shoe on the wall shouldn’t be there at all.”
― Dr. Seuss

When you’re a child,

you view the world in a manner,

which is often lost when you become an adult.

You didn’t mean to misplace it,

your body moved away,

and left it behind in the move.

Everything is fascinating,

a source of wonder,

and has yet to make sense.

If you are the sort of child,

who spends time on the floor,

hiding under dinner tables,

you may get to know,

the giants who surround you

by their fleet of feet,

their shoe ships.

Every now and then,

you will encounter,

a shoe which looks good enough to eat,

a pate a choux shoe,

all sugar and cream,

and all you can do,

is admire the delicious delight,

and muse upon what it tastes like.

“Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.”
― Dr. Seuss
