The Day After Christmas

Day after Christmas

“My beerdrunk soul is sadder than all the dead Christmas trees of the world.”
― Charles Bukowski

is the Winter of our…

sobering up,

after much merriment.

It is time,

to put it away,

the tinsel,

the baubles,

the fairy lights,

the Santa hat…

which you wore so well while tipsy,

after a hearty meal,

shared with love,

and loved ones.

Don’t worry,

although Christmas is over,

there’s a New Year ahead,

full of hopes,

and plenty of celebration

to enjoy.

Smiles from the threshold of the year to come,
Whispering ‘it will be happier’…”
― Alfred Lord Tennyson

Happy New Year,

best wishes and many blessings!
