Hi…
Jennifer: What do we say now…?
Steve: Let’s introduce ourselves!
Jennifer: Who goes first…?
Steve resists the temptation to launch into a variation on an Abbot & Costello sketch.
Steve: Ladies first…
Jennifer snorts with laughter at the idea that she could be a ‘Lady’ and excerpts from a Little Britain sketch flash across her mind. But she doesn’t mind going first…
A while ago I created an image as part of a personal project which encapsulated who I am, or at least how I view who I am.
.
.
I took that photograph with my toes (as can be seen in the shot) – that’s really all you need to know about me.
Let’s have some fun with this bio. I could make all sorts up, but truth is usually stranger than fiction and I am strange up close and personal, even from a safe distance.
My greatest natural talent is – thinking, living and being outside of the box.
“How did I escape? With difficulty. How did I plan this moment? With pleasure. ” ― Alexandre Dumas
.
Jennifer: I’ve introduced myself, now it’s your turn!
Steve steps up to the plate…
And is mysterious, as usual, hiding behind his camera.
.
.
But is he really hiding behind the camera or is the camera hiding in front of him? – That’s the sort of question and perception typical of Jennifer.
She took this photograph of me last year. Both of us are never far from the eye of a lens, our eyes are lenses, the camera captures what our eyes see.
Writing a bio for myself… if you want to know who I am, don’t ask me. Look at what I do. I’m a doer not a talker (Jennifer said that).
“Like most others, I was a seeker, a mover, a malcontent, and at times a stupid hell-raiser. I was never idle long enough to do much thinking, but I felt somehow that some of us were making real progress, that we had taken an honest road, and that the best of us would inevitably make it over the top. At the same time, I shared a dark suspicion that the life we were leading was a lost cause, that we were all actors, kidding ourselves along on a senseless odyssey. It was the tension between these two poles – a restless idealism on one hand and a sense of impending doom on the other – that kept me going.” ― Hunter S. Thompson
.
That’s us, for now, maybe we’ll tweak this bio and make it a bit less crazy and a bit more normal… or not… later.
.
.
“You can’t just turn on creativity like a faucet. You have to be in the right mood.
What mood is that?
Last-minute panic.” ― Bill Watterson

ah! sometimes we end up writing things which we would never do, otherwise! I’m sure what you’ve written is pretty good! May be you can mention something with “P.S.” to add on ?

Once a P.S. is added everything which comes before becomes a bit redundant, especially if the PS. says I love you 😉

You’re a truly one of a kind, rare find and I’m delighted I discovered you. Your creativity and imagination is remarkable, your taste and style is uniquely powerful, the quality of your content is superior.
Thank you for being who you are and sharing that point of view with us.

I was smiling long before I reached the end of “About Us” but the final quote from the creator of our beloved C & H sealed the deal. 🙂 That’s some awesome toe photography right there! Xx

Thank you very much! If I could train my toes to do more I would, as I’m always wishing I had an extra hand, but they’re so rebellious and rather demanding (massages are a big thing with them but the fingers often object as they’re a bit squeamish). I did take that pic with my toes, as the remote I had needed digital pressure. I have upgraded to a remote which doesn’t need that and my toes are feeling a bit demoted. 🙂

It’s rare to find 2 people with such insightfulness and talent. I always stray to the darker side of writing, art, photography, and pretty much everything else. Two of my favorite things that I see here- watches and snakes. My father collects antique clocks that I’ve tried photographing. The pictures might come out better if he would let me brush some of the dust and cobwebs off of them. I used the cobwebs and dust for one of them, gave it a greenish hue, and it looked like it had been Frankenstein’s Lab forever. lol The talent here is incredible.

I stumbled upon you via the Weekly Photo Challenge- so glad I did! Such raw, unfettered creativity and depth – and you two are just very unique individuals. I cannot even put into words how inspired and affected I am just with your intro page..cannot wait to see more 🙂 Thank you for putting your authentic selves out there. I am challenged more to do the same.

Thank you so much for your kind words. If we can inspire a single post then it’s more than we could imagine or hope for. It’s not always easy to be yourself but is ultimately rewarding.
