“If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;
If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;”
― Rudyard Kipling
.
There are moments in life
when we come face to face
with an option
between two paths
one is more familiar than the other
it is a continuation of our old habits
within the confines of our comfort zone
if we take a stroll along that route
chances are we’ll get more of the same
but what about the other way
where does that lead
to triumph or disaster
will we dare to tread the unknown
unsure of the earth beneath our feet
to run the risk of getting lost
or to find the treasures that we passionately seek
.
“If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And – which is more – you’ll be a Man, my son!”
― Rudyard Kipling
